The Department of Radiation Oncology is a cornerstone of the University of Maryland Greenebaum Cancer Center (UMGCC), providing the most advanced radiation therapies available anywhere. We are the first academic medical center in the region to introduce the fully-integrated Trilogy linear accelerator.

Our radiation oncology experts work as part of a team, along with medical and surgical oncology specialists, to deliver a customized treatment plan for each individual patient. The multidisciplinary approach to care gives our patients access to the widest possible range of treatment options and the best chance for a successful outcome.

The department is a nationally recognized leader in research into new and better ways to treat cancer with radiotherapy.
