Diagnostic and Treatment Services

Specialized treatment services include:

Large bowel/colon resection
Gastrointestinal Stromal Tumors (GIST)
Hyperthermic Interperitoneal Chemotherapy (HIPEC)
Hepatic arterial infusion chemotherapy (HAI) for liver tumors
Radiofrequency ablation (RFA) for liver tumors
Anal/sphincter preserving surgery for rectal cancer (preserves the anus and sphincter muscle and avoids a permanent colostomy bag)
Sentinel lymph node mapping therapy for melanoma and breast cancer. Breast conservation surgery with sentinel lymph node mapping is a minimally invasive surgery.
Treatment of advanced tumors of soft tissue (sarcoma), stomach, pancreas and rectum.
Whipple procedure (Pancreaticoduodenectomy)
Minimally invasive radioguided parathyroidectomy
Videoscopic surgery, including minimally invasive (laparoscopic) staging and diagnosis. Laparoscopic procedures include: diagnostic laparoscopy; laparoscopic adrenalectomy;, laparoscopic colon surgery; laparoscopic esphagectomy; laparoscopic hepatic procedures; laparoscopic nephrectomy; laparoscopic pancreatic surgery; and laparoscopic small bowel surgery.

Treatment Follow-up and Communication

It's important to communicate with patients, family members and referring physicians. Throughout the patient's participation in the program, we keep all parties updated on the course and success of treatment and encourage patients and families to take an active role in the treatment planning process.
