Surgical Oncology Program

Surgical oncologists at the UMGCC work with medical oncologists and radiation oncologists in comprehensive, multidisciplinary teams to provide evaluation and therapy for a range of cancers. We treat patients with primary, advanced and recurrent disease.

Our surgical oncologists diagnose and treat:

• Breast cancer
• Colon cancer
• Liver cancer (See our Liver Directed Therapies Program)
• Pancreas cancer
• Rectal cancer
• Stomach cancer
• Gastrointestinal carcinoid tumor
• Soft tissue sarcomas of the abdomen and gastrointestinal tract
• Endocrine tumors
• Thyroid cancer
