The University of Maryland Cancer Epidemiology Alliance (UMCEA) was established in January, 2013. UMCEA is designed to bring together investigators from the University of Maryland, Baltimore and the University of Maryland College Park campuses to pursue cancer research in support of the University of Maryland Marlene and Stewart Greenebaum Cancer Center. The objective of the alliance is to promote scientific collaboration to conduct population research studies to address the burden of cancer from a multidisciplinary approach.
The UMCEA bridges the Baltimore and College Park campuses of the University of Maryland to promote research and education in cancer epidemiology to advance the health of Marylanders, the nation and the world.
