Raymond T. Jones, Ph.D., Director
Dr. Jones is a Professor of Pathology and has been supported by contracts from
the NCI for the past 28 years. He has been project manager of contracts with
the NCIs Laboratory of Human Carcinogenesis for 8 years and has been the project
director for the past 4 years. Dr. Jones is well known in the areas of tissue
and cell culture and diagnostic electron microscopy. Dr. Jones has developed
methods for the isolation and culture of human, bovine and hamster pancreatic
ductile epithelium and has published extensively on cell injury. He is skilled
in management of multidisciplinary projects.
John R. Cottrell, M.S., Laboratory Manager
Mr. Cottrell, a pathologist's assistant, oversees the day-to-day operations of the
facility, supervises the laboratory technicians' collection of tissues, maintains
the inventory, and insures quality control of tissues in the bank.
