Paul Calabresi Clinical Oncology Training Program
Support for Scholars
The Paul Calabresi Clinical Oncology Training Program (Training Program) will
provide 75% salary support for junior faculty as well as associated fringe benefits.
The total salary must be based on a 12-month faculty appointment and the level
of effort related to the Training Program activities.
- Calabresi Scholars will become faculty members at the assistant professor
level in their respective Schools after acceptance into the Training Program;
- The Training Program will provide support for tuition and fees for the Masters
in Clinical Research;
- The Training Program will provide up to $30,000 per year starting
in the trainees' second year that will be used to provide support for the
Calabresi Scholar’s clinical research project. This money can be used
for research expenses, statistical/data management services, research nurse
support, etc. Additionally, Calabresi Scholars will receive a one-time $5,000
credit to be used in the Shared Service facility of their choice (e.g., Flow
Cytometry, X-ray Crystallography) to assist in the completion of the clinical
research project.
