The Genomics Shared Service has a variety of instrumentation for the analysis and characterization of peptides, proteins and a wide range of other molecules. Included are preparative HPLC's, analytical HPLC's with UV/Vis, diode array, fluorescence and electrochemical detectors, three capillary electrophoresis units withUV/Vis, diode array, and laser-induced fluorescence detectors, and a MALDI-TOF mass spectrometer.
These tools have been used to follow chemical, enzymatic, or metabolic reactions, inter- and intra-molecular binding, and stability studies.
Patricia Campbell, PhD, an analytical biochemist with more than 25 years of experience in the practice and training of HPLC and capillary electrophoresis techniques is responsible for these services. As many of these services involve custom design and methods development, fees are quoted upon request.
Investigators interested in any of these applications should contact Dr. Campbell at firstname.lastname@example.org or (410)706-8553.
