The Shared Services Facility has a Becton Dickinson FACSVantage SE cell sorter with the Turbosort module and the CloneCyte attachment for single cell cloning. The sorter is equipped with two lasers; one krypton-argon mixed gas enterprise laser which provides a 488nm excitation and a 355nm ultraviolet excitation, and one helium-neon laser tuned to 633nm. This sorter has six detectors for use in complex analysis and cell sorting.
