Flow Cytometry Instrumentation

The Shared Services Facility has a second FACSVantage SE cell sorter with digital electronics (FACSDiVa option). It is equipped with three lasers; one argon-ion laser, tuned to 488 nm; one krypton-ion laser, tuned to 405 nm for violet excitation; and the third laser is a helium-neon laser; tuned to 633nm. The instrument has eight detectors, Turbosort capabilities, and the CloneCyte attachment for single cell cloning. The sorter is equipped with the Becton Dickinson Aerosol containment module for sorting of potentially biohazardous samples.
