Flow Cytometry: Facilities Utilization

The goal of the Flow Cytometry Shared Service facility is to provide state-of-the-art multiparameter analytic and sorting capabilities for all University of Maryland investigators. The facility maintains and updates the equipment as needed, provides training for investigators, and schedules sorting and run time on all the FACS analyzers.

Order Services:

If you have past experience using our facility and know the objectives of your study, you may schedule an appointment for FACS acquisition/analysis on any of our analyzers. To order a service or request time, visit our Order/Request site. Note: You must have a user account and password to access the ordering/scheduling system.

If you are unfamiliar with experiment set-up or how to estimate your quipment usage time, please contact the facility for assistance at 410-328-3915. Our operators have many years of experience and can assist you in optimizing your experimental design to achieve your objectives.

We strongly encourage you to contact the staff at least a week prior to conducting the experiment to discuss your goals. We can help both with the set-up that will optimize your sort, as well as give you estimates of time, cell recovery and purity. Please contact Dayton Nance or Neil Hardegen or call the facility for assistance at 410-328-3915.
