The American Cancer Society Institutional Research Grant Provides “Seed Money” To Support New Investigators

This is the second year of an American Cancer Society Institutional Research Grant (ACS IRG) that was awarded to the University of Maryland Marlene and Stewart Greenebaum Cancer Center (UMGCC) to support promising new research by junior faculty members.

There are two different types of awards:

1) Cancer-Related Research -- Projects with relevance to any aspect of basic, translational and clinical cancer research ($60,000 total).

2) Cancer Disparities Research -- Projects that specifically focus on cancer in the poor and underserved ($20,000 total).

Deadline for both applications is: Wednesday, November 21st, 2007
