Cryoablation (KRY-oh-uh-BLAY-shun)
A procedure in which tissue is frozen to destroy abnormal cells. This is usually done with a special instrument that contains liquid nitrogen or liquid carbon dioxide. Also called cryosurgery and cryosurgical ablation.
