AdreView (A-dreh-VYOO)
A substance used to detect certain types of tumors, including pheochromocytomas and neuroblastomas. It contains a substance called iobenguane linked to a radioactive substance called iodine I 123. The tumor cells take up the AdreView, and a machine is used to detect where the cancer cells are in the body. It is a type of radioimaging agent. Also called iobenguane I 123.
