Angela Hartley Brodie, Ph.D., Receives Landon-AACR Prize in Washington, D.C.

Awardee Angela M. Hartley Brodie, Ph.D., addresses the AACR Annual Awards dinner during the 97th annual meeting of the American Association for Cancer Research (AACR) on Saturday, April 1, 2006.

Dr. Brodie won the prestigious Dorothy P. Landon-AACR Prize for Translational Cancer Research for her groundbreaking work in developing aromatase inhibitors, a new class of breast cancer drugs.

Over 17,000 researchers, physicians and care givers from 65 countries met in the nation's capitol to review the latest research in cancer diagnosis and treatment.
