At the University of Maryland Marlene and Stewart Greenebaum Cancer Center, patients with leukemia are treated in the Center's Program for Hematologic Malignancies, which is staffed by experts in the research and treatment of diseases of the blood. UMGCC also has a Blood and Marrow Transplant Program, which specializes in transplants for patients with leukemia and other cancers.

The Center's medical staff members take a fully integrated, multidisciplinary approach to cancer care so that every phase of treatment is coordinated for maximum effectiveness. Patients receive the most advanced and comprehensive treatment available anywhere in the world—in a compassionate and supportive setting.
